Perseus, aka ‘Percy’, is a barred owl who has made his (or her!?!?) home in our back woods. We first met Percy in 2017 and have since grown quite found of him. He will let us get rather close and take pictures as well as “communicate” with him in the form of “hooting” duets.

Percy is the inspiration behind our business and the reason we choose him as our mascot for all our homemade natural honey products. The forest is the owl’s best friend and this Earth is ours. We strive to stay humbled by our amazing planet and give back as much respect as we can, and this is a core value behind everything we do here at Percy Homestead.
